Nathan Chen's gold returned the U.S. to the men's Olympic figure skating podium, but it was ROC that headlined the sport's conversations.

Short track speed skater and Fairfield native Kristen Santos-Griswold was close to an Olympic medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She was in third entering the final lap in the 1,000 meters when she rounded the corner and was taken out from behind by Arianna Fontana of Italy.

Now, as a coach, Kaitlin Hawayek says she hopes to inspire young athletes by sharing both her passion for skating and the lessons she learned.
